What is Tendinopathy?
Tendinopathy is a condition where a tendon becomes damaged or worn down, often from repetitive use over time. Tendons are strong bands that connect muscles to bones, allowing movement and supporting joint stability. Unlike tendonitis, tendinopathy involves gradual degeneration, which can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced function if left unmanaged.
Common Areas Affected
- Rotator Cuff (Shoulder)
- Achilles Tendon
- Patellar Tendon (Knee)
- Elbow Tendons (Golfer’s or Tennis Elbow)
- Wrist & Hand Tendons
- Hip (Hip Tendonitis, Gluteal Tendinopathy)
- Calf

How can we help?
Low level laser therapy uses infrared laser light painlessly to promote healing and tissue repair when everything else has failed and is at the centre of our holistic treatment approach.
Our Low Level Laser Therapy program is carefully structured and supervised by GP Dr Shikha Parmar. We start with a full assessment so your treatment plan is tailored to your health, lifestyle, and activity needs. We provide personalised advice and a rehab program to support your recovery.
Most people need around 12 sessions, with progress checked along the way. Your recovery is supported by gentle rehab and activity guidance. The program is time-limited, once therapy finishes, your body continues to heal naturally, helping you get back to moving with confidence and returning to normal activity.
